Since 2006, the EBP conference has been the meeting place for the researchers fromacademic, governmental and industrial institutions to discuss new developmentsand results in the fields of  environmental remediation, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, alternative energy sourcesand environmental stewardship.

The FirstInternational Environmental Best Practices (EBP) http://www.environmentalbiotechnology.pl/eb_dzialy/eb_online/2006/vol2_1/12-conference_ebp_2006.pdf  Conference was held in Olsztyn, Poland from 7 to 10 August 2006 at the University of Warmia and Mazury. The EBP conference was organized in collaboration with the Sam HoustonState University (SHSU), Huntsville, Texas, U.S.A. The symposium was chaired byMirek Luczynski and R. Gavin Jones (SHSU).

The Second International Environmental Best Practices (EBP2) Conference http://www.environmentalbiotechnology.pl/eb_dzialy/eb_online/2009/vol5_2/ms116mgora.pdf was held in Krakow, Poland, from 14 to 18 September, 2009. Thesymposium was chaired by Maciej Góra and Mirek Luczynski and was hosted by the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University, Krakow.

InSeptember (13-16) 2011, during the Third International Environmental BestPractices Conference(EBP3) 

http://www.environmentalbiotechnology.pl/eb_dzialy/eb_online/2011/vol7_2/ms152tschneider.pdf  an international audience metat the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences (HSOffenburg), Germany. The EBP3 symposium was chaired by Torsten Schneider andAndreas Wilke.

TheFourth International EBP (EBP4) Conference was held in September (8-12), 2013 at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn, Poland http://www.environmentalbiotechnology.pl/eb_dzialy/eb_online/2013/vol9_2/ms228_proof_corrected.pdf . The conference was organized in collaboration with the Universityof Applied Sciences, Offenburg, Germany. The chairs of the EBP4 Symposium were Janusz Gołaszewski and Mirek Luczynski.

The latest 5th International “Environmental Best Practice” (EBP5) Conference was held at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences (HSO) between September 20 and 22, 2016. It was organized jointly with the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn, Poland. The EBP5 symposium was chaired by Torsten Schneider and Andreas Wilke.
